1980s U21 Golden Period
What a decade for the Barryroe U21 hurling and football teams.
Four Carbery 'A' hurling titles won in 1980, 1981, 1985 and 1988 made all the more impressive by also getting to the final in 1983, 1986 and 1989. From more or less the same pool of players between codes the footballers secured the Carbery U21 title in 1989 which achieved an historic three 'B' football titles in a row, following wins in 1987 and 1988.
