Barryroe's reign as Carbery Champions came to a shuddering halt at a sunny Ardfield on Sunday last. When David Murphy levelled with the clock ticking into the red, it had looked like the champions had done enough to progress to the knockout stages, but this titanic battle had one final twist, and it was St. Mary's final foray which reaped the ultimate dividend and ensured St. Mary's ran out victors 1-11 to 0-13.
